Parish Restoration & Outreach
St. Joseph Parish · Chicago, Illinois
Restoring a historic Gothic Revival parish church and funding community outreach programs for immigrant families.
St. Joseph Parish was founded by immigrant families who pooled their meager wages to build a church worthy of God. The result was a stunning Gothic Revival structure with soaring arches and hand-painted stations of the cross. A century later, the parish serves a new generation of families, many of them recent immigrants themselves. The restoration fund preserves this architectural treasure while the outreach programs provide food, English classes, and spiritual direction to families in need.
